Molecular Markers in Plant Breeding

Course Description: Hands-on laboratory experience of molecular marker techniques used to study plants. Genetic diversity/relatedness, linkage mapping, and tagging traits of interest performed using various software packages.

Class Meeting Days:

Lectures: W, 12:50-2:45 pm (periods 6&7) F, 12:50-1:40 pm (period 6)
Laboratory: Students will be required to schedule and perform exercises in the lab each week.

Location: PSF-4 (located behind Fifield Hall) and the Cucurbit Breeding and Genetics Laboratory, Building 1222 (located behind Fifield Hall)
