Winter Peach Pruning Field Day

Event Description: 

This pruning field day will be located at the Indian River Research and Education Center and will be cover several topics of interest. 

  • Review pruning techniques
  • Review of the 2013 harvest and a look forward to the 2014 season
  • Question and Answer period with UF peach personnel
  • Field visit to research and extension orchard

The field day will start at 9:00 am, and will end around 11:00 am.  There is no pre-registration required, just come and sign in!

Dr. Olmstead will talk about how the warm winter weather may affect pruning decisions and the basic pruning principles for optimum cropload and fruit quality.
