Mike Alligood: Biological Scientist

Raised up on the family farm by his parents and grand-parents from birth, Mike knows all the ropes when it comes to agriculture. Since his UF career began in 1976, he has provided laboratory and field support for a wide variety of vegetable research programs, including nutrient, irrigation, and organic management. In his spare time, Mike enjoys fishing and hunting.



I have mentored a number of students over the years including high school students from around the state as well as UF undergraduates, Master of Science in Horticultural Sciences, Doctor of Philospophy in Horticultural Sciences and Doctor of Plant Medicine students.
