Florida Foundation Seed, Inc.

Florida Foundation Seed, Inc. traces its beginnings back to 1957, when a group of Florida seedsmen, growers and nurserymen amended the constitution and by-laws of the then Florida Crop Improvement Association. The Florida Foundation Seed Producers Inc. provides high quality, adapted varieties of seed stocks to Florida farmers and producers of certified crop seed and nursery stock. The group cooperates with the Florida Agricultural Experiment Station to make new and improved varieties of seed and nursery stock available to Florida’s farmers and growers.

The University of Florida has approved commercial release of novel peaches, nectarine and apple varieties. Florida Foundation Seed, Inc. is seeking partners to license these varieties. This is a unique opportunity to propagate and market novel new fruit varieties with improved low chilling requirements (200– to 400 chill units) with improved flavor, uniform fruit size, and desirable fruit quality and taste, including:

Peaches

Nectarines

Plums

UFGold

Sunbest

Gulfbeauty

Gulfprince

Sunmist

Gulfblaze

UF2000

UFQueen
