Postharvest Biology & Technology Lab
The postharvest facilities at the University of Florida in Gainesville are located at Fifield Hall. Postharvest research on fruits and vegetables is primarily the responsibility of the faculty in the Horticultural Sciences Department (Drs. Brecht, Huber and Sargent). We interact primarily with faculty in Plant Pathology, Food Science & Human Nutrition, and Agricultural and Biological Engineering, as well as our postharvest colleagues at the Citrus Research and Education Center in Lake Alfred and the Indian River Research and Education Center in Ft. Pierce.
