Text Box: We do comparative analyses of P. vittata the arsenic hyperaccumulating fern and P. ensiformis, a non-accumulator fern. When exposed to arsenic, P. ensiformis showed severe oxidative stress symptoms but P. vittata did not. P. vittata had greater levels of antioxidants reduced glutathione and ascorbic acid in its tissues than P. ensiformis.
