PROGRAM
- Primary
resource person in production of deciduous fruit and nut crops.
- Has primary responsibility (statewide) for deciduous fruit and nut
crops program and training.
- Plans and conducts statewide deciduous and nut programs. Organizes
and services such grower organizations as Pecan Growers' Association, Persimmon Growers
Association and Strawberry Growers' Association.
- Conducts the annual statewide Pecan, Persimmon, and Strawberry
meetings.
- Conducts demonstrations on cultural problems in deciduous fruits
and strawberries.
- Conducts minor use pesticide protocals on deciduous fruits and
nuts for the IR-4 (USDA) pesticide program.
