Supplemental Label for Post Application of Sandea on Snap Beans

A supplemental label has been issued for the postemergence application of Sandea on snap beans. Sandea now may be applied at 1/2 to 2/3 oz. product per acre postemergence after the crop has reached the 2-3 trifoliate leaf stage but before flowering.

For the postemergence application, timing is critical. Application at 1 week after emergence can cause stunting and if flowers are present, applications can knock off the flowers. There is a disclaimer on the label that states: application of Sandea may cause significant, temporary stunting and delay maturity of snap beans resulting in delayed harvest. This product is available to the end-user/grower solely to the extent that the benefit and utility, in the opinion of the end-user/grower, outweigh the extent of potential injury associated with the use of the product. Due to the risk of crop damage, all such use is at the end-user/grower’s risk.

Sandea is also labeled for a preemergence application. Do not apply more than 1 ounce per acre per crop cycle.
